What is a Prep School?

A Prep schools are institutions specifically designed to prepare students for college and send them to some of the best universities in the nation,  preparatory schools are not restricted to following the national curriculum. This independence gives prep schools the freedom and flexibility to deliver a curriculum that not only aligns with their vision and ethos, but can also be tailored to the needs of individual children.

The Curriculum

Unlike mainstream public schools, OSAI is not restricted to following the national curriculum. This independence gives OSAI the freedom and flexibility to deliver a curriculum that not only aligns with their vision and ethos, but can also be tailored to the needs of individual children. Students are not subjected to the ‘one size fits all’ approach and schools can deliver a much broader curriculum.

straight out of high school.

Omega Sports Academy International focus on preparing students for the higher level classes they will take in college. Most follow a core program that meets the prerequisites that colleges have in place for incoming freshmen. This usually includes four years of English classes, at least three years of math and life science classes and two years of classes in the humanities, social sciences and a foreign language. Some of these schools also offer advanced placement classes. After taking an AP class, students take an exam on that subject. Depending on how well they score, they may receive partial or full college credit for that class.

Omega Sports Academy International curriculum is underpinned by the premise that learning which blends excitement and challenge is integral to developing intrinsically motivated, confident and engaged children who have a growing curiosity and understanding of the world around them. We aim to build essential, transferable skills through challenging and immersive learning.

Class Sizes

Omega Sports Academy International tend to boast smaller class sizes. Students will benefit from more individual time and attention from teachers who can better assess a child’s progress and tailor their learning accordingly. Teachers can also build an in-depth understanding of each child and know the strengths, weaknesses, and needs of each pupil. Smaller class sizes also enable children to build better relationships with their teachers and classmates, which encourages better class cohesion and less disruption.

Specialist Teachers

Rather than being taught all subjects by a single generalist teacher, students attending Omega Sports Academy International will enjoy some lessons led by subject specialist teachers. These teachers have substantial expertise and enthusiasm for their respective curriculum area and can best support pupils of all abilities to reach their potential. At Omega Sports Academy International we are fortunate that even our students are taught by specialist in the classroom and on the field or courts.

What are the benefits of attending a prep school?

At Omega Sports Academy International we emphasis on college readiness, push students academically beyond the norm, ensuring they have the necessary grades and GPA for elite college applications. Research shows prep school students perform better on standardized tests.
